Washington, DC – Telescope, an organization that builds and backs products that ensure emerging technology makes us all more secure and prosperous—has launched a Government Talent Pilot to connect top public sector professionals with opportunities to support meaningful technical innovation. This initiative comes at a pivotal moment, as many experienced professionals in tech, law and policy face career transitions. Telescope aims to place highly skilled individuals in influential roles across key industries, where their expertise in policy, governance, and regulation can fuel innovation. Telescope is currently recruiting entrepreneurial leaders to oversee the program; applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
"Public sector professionals bring invaluable expertise," said Eric Braverman, Chair and CEO of Telescope. "Our Government Talent Pilot aims to bridge the gap for those affected by federal hiring challenges, ensuring they can continue making a meaningful impact. Whether it's advancing responsible AI at a leading tech company, launching a startup in emerging technology, advising on tech development in law or consulting, improving state government services, or shaping the future through fellowships for technologists, we want to help top talent find the right opportunities to drive change."
Telescope is seeking proposals from an entrepreneurial leader (or team) to design and lead an initiative focused on three key areas:
Selected leaders will receive $5,000 in seed funding and up to $25,000 in project support to develop and scale the program. This three-month pilot has the potential to redefine how government talent moves into influential roles across key industries.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Interested candidates can apply here.
